Trading 2 terrible animals for maid service

Sometime last week, a friend of mine posted a video on Facebook of one of her dogs getting a case of the zoomies like a maniac around her living room. She told us she wasn’t home, and that it was just a surveillance video. After watching it, I immediately texted Jay who instantly agreed to getting some cameras. One of our good friends gave Dropcam rave reviews, which was awesome because that’s what Jay had decided he wanted.  We started out with a single camera which placed high above our living room, giving us a view of the whole room. By day 2, Jay had already ordered us a second camera. This one we just plopped on a side table until I can get some shelving to raise it.

I’d like to ask you guys to please excuse my living area. As you can tell, I apparently raise wild wolves in my home. Anyway, the clip you find below happened just this morning. I popped open the app, and noticed the dogs were not in the living room. I backed the camera up a bit and found this:

A few things:

  • The book that Duncan stole is called “You and Stella Blue”. I made it for Jay as a when Stella was still a baby.
  • Note how Stella just sits there and watches until Duncan is all the way out of the doggy door.
  • You’ll also see that they don’t return.

Later this morning I received a text from Nana (our pet sitter). As you can see, the remnants of the book are scattered all over my yard. Apparently, Duncan Doodle decided that Stella having her own book was bullshit, and if he couldn’t have *his* own book, no one can.

The evidence is behind him. That book is shredded to bits.

I don’t know if I’ll ever have a clean home again. 🙁
